Summary: Space is the final frontier--for big laughs--in this hilarious spoof of the Star Trek phenomenon. Twenty years after it was cancelled, the cheesy sci-fi show Galaxy Quest has achieved cult status. The cast--led by Jason Nesmith (Allen), Gwen DeMarco (Weaver), Alexander Dane (Alan Rickman), Fred Kwan (Tony Shalhoub) and Tommy Webber (Daryl Mitchell)--unhappily has never been able to escape the show's shadow. Believing that Galaxy Quest episodes are documentaries, a group of aliens approach Nesmith for help in a war against some extraterrestrial scoundrels. Nesmith thinks the whole thing is a gag, but when he and his "crew" are whisked into space on a very real mission, they begin to realize they could be true heroes for once! Also with Sam Rockwell.
