Summary: A popular stage actress in 1938 London has her creative spark rekindled by an affair with a younger man in this sparkling adaptation of W. Somerset Maugham's story. Annette Bening earned a 2004 Best Actress Oscar(R)-nomination for her spirited performance as Julia Lambert, a middle-aged actress who is rejuvenated by a fling with an infatuated American youth.
