Summary: Oversexed, neurotic twentysomethings are looking for love in all the wrong places in this farcical tale set on New Year's Eve, 1981. The episodic plot follows the misadventures of a large group of chain-smoking characters--artists, posers, hipsters and wannabees--as they make their way through New York City to get to a big bash being thrown in the East Village. Tying all the stories together is a cabbie who picks up most of the characters and a wall-to-wall rock soundtrack featuring Elvis Costello (who appears as himself) and Blondie, among others. The impressive ensemble cast includes Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Dave Chappelle, Guillermo Diaz, Angela Featherstone, Janeane Garofalo, Gaby Hoffmann, Kate Hudson, Courtney Love, Jay Mohr, Martha Plimpton, Christina Ricci and Paul Rudd.
