Joe Buck
In a profession that depends on the ability to deliver exactly the right words at exactly the right time in the unpredictable arena of live sports, Joe Buck, the play-by-play voice for FOX Sports, has established himself as one of the most talented young broadcasters to sit behind a mic. His big league career started in 1994, when at age 25 he began regularly calling NFL games. In 1996, at 27, he called his first World Series, becoming the youngest play-by-play announcer since the legendary Vin Scully in 1953. Now at 35, an age when most broadcasters' careers are just getting off the ground, he owns four Sports Emmy(r) Awards and his call of Mark McGwire's record-setting 62nd home run resides in the annals of sports history. Correspondent Bernard Goldberg sits down with Buck to discuss his extraordinary success and the relationship he enjoyed with his father, the late Cardinals broadcasting legend Jack Buck.
