Ruled by Impulse

You'd think that after letting go of a role more than a decade ago, it might be a little tough to get back in the mood. Apparently not for Jason Alexander, who tapped his inner George Costanza for the fake 'Seinfeld' reunion taking place on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' this season. "Just before we shot that scene, I said to Jerry and Julia, 'I don't know if I can be George. I haven't tried him on in a while,'" he says. "And it was freaky how it just came right back out."

So what possessed Jerry Seinfeld to revisit the show he swore he had put to rest? "The idea of working with Larry was just too overwhelmingly appealing to me, and [Curb] is such a great show," he says. "There was a little part of me that said, 'Do we really want to tamper?'...But to hell with it. How much damage can you really do?" (photo: Amy Sussman/Getty Images)

Best Medicine

Leave it to Robin Williams to laugh his way through heart-surgery. In March, the comedian and Academy-award winning actor had his aortic valve replaced with one from a cow, and now he's already gearing up to reprise his standup career. "I think it really opens you up, literally," he jokes. "The reason I'm going back to do standup again is I've run out of the merchandising money from Bicentennial Man. I went on stage two months ago, did about 20 minutes, and even I went, 'No, I'm not ready yet.' So it will be an interesting thing to see if I can do the long program, the hour and a half, yet." Hair Issues

'True Blood' star Anna Paquin is in no danger of morphing into a plastic Hollywood vixen. Still, the actress doesn't have to read minds to see that the role of sexy Sookie Stackhouse has tweaked her image a bit: "I don't look like a Barbie doll, and probably never will. People are incredibly literal in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blonde and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you're a bit stupider and happier. Suddenly, it's like you're hot and sexy." (photo: Michael Buckner/Getty Images)

Sibling Rivalry

As a big brother, it may seem like Jason Stackhouse doesn't have a lot to teach his sister Sookie. Unless you consider this: "I led the way in the sexual-shenanigans department in the first season," said Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason and appeared partly naked in 11 of 12 episodes in season one. But this year the tables are turned: "This season, Anna Paquin is far more naked than I am." (photo: Jesse Grant/WireImage.com)

Hey, I Know You ...

'Hung' star Anne Heche has grabbed some attention with her portrayal of Jessica, the hard-to-please ex-wife of gigolo Ray Drecker, which hasn't always been the case for the accomplished actress: "My boyfriend couldn't believe I was in 'Wag the Dog.' He was like, 'Who were you?' And I said, 'I was the girl! There's only one girl in it.' It's funny to get people who have watched some of my things without knowing. At the beginning of my career I wanted to be a chameleon and I ended up hiding myself so much sometimes they didn't know it was me." (photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images)
