That's Why The Lady Is a Vamp

Not many actresses are willing to play older than their real age unless it involves an Oscar®-worthy time-lapse storyline. But Cuban actress Valerie Cruz was thrilled to land the part of Isabella Beaumont, even though the 600-year-old Dallas vampire has a few centuries on Cruz. As the first Spanish blood sucker on the show, Latina.com asked her what it was that differentiates her from the non-Latin vamps. Said Cruz: "That she has a definitive sense of style! She has a sensibility of her own sort of persecution too, which lends to her a sensitivity that the other vampires don't have."(photo: Jeff Vespa/WireImage.com)

Vampire Rules

Is the fair-haired vampire playing fair? Eric may be testing Bill's patience on 'True Blood,' but according to Stephen Moyer (Bill) it's all cool in the vampire rule book. "As much as Eric does to piss Bill off, Bill never has a childlike fit," Moyer explains. "The hierarchy is incredibly strong. So no matter how much Eric does against Bill, Bill will never bad-mouth him. It's sort of an elevated playground mentality. However horrible a kid is to you, you don't go and report him." Getting Personal

Actors love having something personal to relate to when tackling a big role, but Hope Davis may wish she had to imagine some of the feelings she'll be tackling for her next gig playing Hillary Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky era. Says Davis, "Almost every woman in the world has been in that position — it was a long time ago in my life — where the person that you trusted looks at you and says, 'I have an admission to make.' It's a moment we've all lived through." (photo: Mark Von Holden/WireImage.com)

Class Act

While Anna Paquin has received a serious education in things that go bump in the night, the 'True Blood' star still feels like she should wrap up the degree program she started at Columbia University, which she left to pursue acting. But upon further examination, she either accomplished a lot in that first year ... or the dean is a big Sookie fan. "Evidently they think I've graduated," she says, "because I was recently invited back to a class reunion for class of 2004. I was rather surprised. I don't know how that happened... I don't technically know what my enrollment status is." (photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/WireImage.com)

The Celebrity Express

Emmanuelle Chriqui may seem like an overnight success, but she's been working since childhood and understands the ups and downs of fame. Still, the actress recently confided a real 'Entourage' moment: "Oh my God, this is bad, but I did do something that was totally 'celebrity' once. I had to go to Europe, and my passport was almost expired, and I was in Toronto, and in a complete panic, and I went to the passport office and told them I needed it done in a rush — and a 'rush' is like, minimum 10 days — and the clerk looks at me and says: 'Are you the girl from Entourage?' And I totally charmed them. ... the clerk went into the office and brought out her supervisor, another officer, and they talked to each other, and they were looking at me, and I was smiling and smiling, and then, like, in 10 minutes, I had my passport." Bloody Saturday

Watch your neck at Comic Con this year — according to the Chicago Tribune, quite the contingent from 'True Blood' will be savoring the festivities in San Diego over the weekend. A panel discussion on Saturday is set to include creator Alan Ball, author Charlaine Harris, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and plenty of other cast members. Before all you Jason fans get too riled up, though, the heartthrob-turned-religious-warrior is unfortunately out of town — shooting a film in Australia. (photo: George Pimentel/WireImage.com)
