Lover's Triangle?

Alexander Skarsgård better watch his back. While his character Eric may have eyes for Sookie in season 2 of 'True Blood,' Stephen Moyer (Bill) is eyeing the scripts — both in and out of character. (Moyer and Paquin are a couple on and off screen). Says Moyer: "I'm not going to lie, when I see those little things in the script, those little moments when Eric's pouting at her from across the room, I'm like, I'm going to have a word with that scamp later." But if Moyer wants to rumble, Skarsgård's not biting — he's just digging deeper into Eric's softer side: "He's very much emotionally involved now. And I'm not just talking about his relationship between Eric and Sookie and Bill, but other things as well." (photo: Kevin Parry/WireImage.com)

A Mint Condition Alexander

In 'Tell Me You Love Me,' Jane Alexander's character proved that women of a certain age still have a vibrant sex life. And the 69-year-old actress's career is going stronger than ever. She's currently appearing on stage in 'Chasing Manet' in New York (where she does admit she enjoys a nap between the matinee and evening shows). And in her upcoming action movie, 'Terminator: Salvation,' she again proves that there are still new experiences to be had. When she found out her character was getting her own trading card, Alexander exclaimed: "Oh my God, I have to be the oldest female-action-figure trading card. And it's a very odd child who will ask for my card." (photo: Steve Mack/FilmMagic.com)

Occupational Hazard

HBO.com caught up with 'Grey Gardens' stars Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange to talk about recreating the famous documentary as a feature film. For Barrymore, getting into character was no picnic: "I've never been this scared. I'd write these journals on a typewriter, and my journals started to sound like her journals. I realized that was either the worst thing ever or the best thing ever, because I wanted so bad to become her." (photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Into the Wilds

Nothing says "I love you" like an all-expense paid trip to Africa. In honor of the new series 'The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,' you can submit the reasons your No. 1 lady deserves a trip to Botswana. And if hanging with rhinos, giraffes and meerkats has been a lifelong dream, you can even nominate yourself. (photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Precious Moment

Readers of 'The No. 1 Ladies Detective' novels, as well as viewers of the new HBO series, are often surprised to learn that the voice and character of Precious Ramotswe is penned by a white man who makes his home in Edinburgh. But Alexander McCall Smith isn't a complete outsider when it comes to his subject. Born and raised in what is now Zimbabwe, Smith studied law in Scotland, but returned to Africa, to Botswana, where he helped found the first law school. It was while watching a woman chase a chicken in her yard in Botswana that he found his inspiration for Precious. "Sometimes, you can look at a woman, or a man for that matter, in Africa, and take a credible stab at imagining what their lives have been," Smith said. "You can see the relative poverty, all the hard work, the children, looking after her man, in many cases running a small business. And on top of all that, you can see dignity, a real integrity."
