One Night Only!

Incentives are always a great way to lure in customers during a cold spell. While your neighborhood bank may offer free golf umbrellas and waffle irons to all comers, the Moonlight Bunny Ranch has dug up one promotion worth paying for: The virginity of a recent college grad. After making an appearance on the Tyra Banks show, the young lady in question (who goes by the nom de guerre Natalie Dylan) has fleshed out her social experiment in a column for The Daily Beast: 'I'm a 22-year-old woman who recently earned her Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies, and soon I'll be entering a Masters Degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy. During the time in between, in addition to my regular 9-to-5, I've been exploring my upcoming thesis project: the value of virginity. To be more specific, I've put my own virginity up for auction on the Moonlight Bunny Ranch website, and I recently received my highest bid so far: a cool $3.8 million." So much for earning salary commensurate with experience.

Show Him the Money. Literally.

Arj Barker may be gaining recognition as the head-band wearing Dave on 'Flight of the Conchords' (his costume touch), but he's been paying his dues since he was 19. The stand-up comic dropped out of college to pursue his dream of making people laugh. "Not a day goes by that I don't regret it," Barker laments. "If I stayed in school, I'd know how to spell things right and be able to count all my money." (photo: Michael Schwartz/WireImage.com)

One of the Guys

Comic Lisa Lampanelli has lit up the room at celebrity roasts, and it's not because she's been showing off her feminine wiles. "I kind of almost have a male approach to comedy," Lampanelli says. "If you took any of [my material], a guy could do those jokes. The reason women comics suck is, they do chick jokes, they do chick humor. And, really, does a guy want to pay to hear some [female-specific expletive] moaning and groaning about the things women talk about onstage? No. If he really wants to hear that he can stay home and his wife won't charge him." And for any ladies who are insulted by that? "I'm freakin' lovable, and everyone likes me," she says. "So shove it." (photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com)

Sexual Healing

In an interview with the LA Times, Ted Haggard answers some tough questions about his sexuality in response to Alexandra Pelosi's new documentary, which chronicles his life after the scandal that forced him to separate from the New Life Church. When asked whether he describes himself as homosexual or bisexual, the former evangelical preacher says: "What my therapist says is that I am a heterosexual with issues, and I think that's accurate." As for how he's handling those issues, he explains: "I am grateful that I am now to a place where I'm able make decisions and walk them through. Where for a long time I would try to make decisions and I'd pray about them and I'd fast and I'd memorize scripture and I really wanted to be a virtuous, wonderful man, but I had to fight hard to be a man of integrity. Where now it's much easier."

Gender Bender

It may not be 'Pineapple Express II,' but the guys of 'He's Just Not That Into' want their gender to know that they needn't run for the hills when their dates want to check out this ensemble rom com. The film's co-stars Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper and Justin Long have made a video appeal illustrating 10 Chick Flick Cliches That Are Not In 'He's Just Not That Into You.' We won't spoil the count down, but suffice to say that the boys of 'Entourage,' would have endless sport making fun of Connolly for the kilt he wears acting out No. 10: "No makeover montages." Harder Than It Looks

To the naked eye, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement appear to be two foreign slackers schlubbing their way through life on the Lower East Side. Upon closer examination, however, the pair are actually working themselves to the bone on 'Flight of the Conchords.' "We're going into the studio on the weekend," McKenzie says, "and we might be finishing a song or even writing a song for that next week." And according to the show's co-writer James Bobin, "We're shooting a sitcom and two music videos in five days. Usually you have a day or three days for a video, and you have six days to shoot a sitcom. So we basically have half the time required to do that sort of work."

First Couple

Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti are piling up the awards this season for their portrayal of Abigail and John Adams in the HBO miniseries. On Sunday night, they took home "Actor" trophies for their categories at the SAG Awards, which should look nice next to their Golden Globes®. Giamatti couldn't be there to snag his, but Linney gave him and the rest of the cast (including nominee Tom Wilkinson) a shout out: "The joy of making that project is that I got to spend a lot of time with some wonderful, wonderful actors." Road Warrior

Being first wife and mother to the Henrickson brood must be rubbing off on Jeanne Tripplehorn. The actress has signed on to be spokesperson for the World Monuments Fund, dedicated to preserving architectural heritages, and top on her "Watch" list of endangered sites is the Mother Road, Route 66. "We all take for granted that the places we love will be around forever, but that's clearly not the case, not even with Route 66, a familiar reminder to me of home," says Tripplehorn. The super highway runs from Chicago to Los Angeles, passing through her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. "I am proud to speak out on behalf of the World Monuments Fund, which has been saving historic sites for more than 40 years, from Beijing to Rome to Tulsa." (photo: Jesse Grant/WireImage.com)

Hairy Situation

Chris Rock has skewered a lot of racially and sexually charged issues in his career, but in his latest documentary 'Good Hair,' he's throwing jokes into perilous and uncertain territory: black women's hair. In the film, the comic interviews ladies who have hair-relaxing treatments or pay for expensive weaves, cracking wise while exploring some of the serious racial-identity issues surrounding the matter. After all, Rock points out, it's going to take more than the election of Barack Obama to satisfy his benchmark for equality. "Excellent black people have always been compensated for excellence. Always," he says. "The real equality is when we can have a black president as dumb as George Bush. That's when we're really equal. That's when the dream has come true."
