Action!

Kevin Connolly has been spending a lot his off-season time behind the camera, helming music videos. A few weeks ago he was directing Gisele Bündchen to avoid a maze of paparazzi while shooting a Blackcowboy video, and he's in the throws of a 'Goodfellas' homage with The Game and Ne-Yo (for their tune 'Camera Phone'). For a guy with little downtime between 'Entourage' seasons, the fast pace is just right. "I got hired on Wednesday and we're shooting on Tuesday. I've been scrambling around all weekend!" Connolly told People.com. "It's fun because the turnaround is quick. You shoot it, you edit that week, and a week later Game will have his video. It's amazing." Fightin' Words

It's not unusual for some vitriol to slip out before a big boxing match, but Joe Calzaghe has taken things a step further. Instead of just hammering his opponent, Roy Jones Jr., before meeting him in the ring at Madison Square Garden this Saturday, the Welshman has called out an entire country of fighters. "If I had had my way, this fight would have been in Cardiff," Calzaghe says. "But the bottom line was that HBO wouldn't do a pay-per-view fight if it wasn't in America, so I had to come here. Boxing has changed. America is not No 1 any more. Look at what they did at the Olympics - one medal. There are more good fighters in Europe than there are in the US, but not many top Americans come to Europe." (photo: Will Hart)

A Load of Bullocks?

Just how badly do you want a 'Deadwood' revival? In the actual town of Deadwood, the real Seth and Martha Bullock built a hotel that opened in 1895. And according to the "Martha Bullock" who leads a 3 o'clock ghost tour of the hotel these days, the couple may still be hanging around. "Sometimes I'm standing here and the energy is very intense and I've had my shawl lift up off my shoulders and fold itself on my arm," she told a visitor. If you're tempted to check it out, just remember it won't be Tim Olyphant fluffing your pashmina.

Hollywood Machine

Jordan Belfi, who plays Ari's nemesis Adam Davies on 'Entourage,' is working on a new flick, 'The Surrogate,' with Bruce Willis. The sci-fi story includes Belfi as an evil manufacturer of emotionless robots that stand in for flesh-and-blood humans — so he's basically doing the same thing he was as an agent. "The experience itself was great," he says. "This is a huge science fiction studio movie. ... Working with [Bruce Willis] was the best part because someone you admire comes face to face and suddenly all the nerves go away, for a period you are just peers — actors working together. Working at that level was exciting." (photo: Jason Kempin/WireImage.com)

Almost Famous

Amy Ryan's critically acclaimed turns as a greenhorn detective on 'The Wire' and a trashy cokehead in 'Gone Baby Gone' have more than proven her acting chops, but they're not exactly the kind of performances that send your name up in lights. Even after nailing the character of HR executive Holly on 'The Office,' Ryan is still wondering when all the paparazzi and stalkers will show up. "I guess I should have just done a reality show, gone out in dresses without my panties and skipped the years of hard work — then everyone would know who I am," she jokes. "Being a working actor was always the goal. It wasn't about fame for me. But now that I'm older, and I've been at it a while, I'm ready for the attention. I think I've earned it." (photo: Andrew H. Killer Comedy

Lisa Lampanelli had a circuitous route to stand-up comedy. She started out as a journalist bouncing around from the Connecticut Post to Popular Mechanics to Rolling Stone and Spy. Then it was grad school: "I was going to be a teacher," she said. "But it turns out I hate children." She discovered her calling at a comedy class and things started falling into place. In addition to her upcoming comedy special for HBO she's working on a comedy series (produced by Jim Carrey). "It's a dramedy, like 'The Sopranos.' Very dark. The first scene, you think it's a mob hit. There's hardcore violence and sex is big. It has a 'Rescue Me' type of tone." (photo: Steve Granitz/WireImage.com)

Going Global

Noa Tishby isn't just another pretty face. The Israeli actress and singer is also a producer, responsible for bringing 'In Treatment' to the U.S. and HBO. Already famous in her native country, the actress has a recurring role on the upcoming season of 'Big Love.' And now she's added another continent to her jet setting ways: Australia. This summer Tishby married Australian Idol host Andrew G and she's got her eye on his homeland. "I love it here. I want to make sure that I create myself more opportunities here and I have been talking about that for a while," she said. (photo: Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic.com)

Frog in Your Throat?

'Life and Times of Tim' creator Steve Dildarian — the man who turned a Budweiser ad gimmick into the most adored amphibians in America — didn't always inspire such love. In fact, the self-conscious voice of Tim may have interrupted your dinner back in the day to deliver a telemarketing pitch: "I was selling, ahhh, meat — frozen meat that people would put in their basement freezer. If people do that, I guess they do. Ahhh. Calling and saying: 'Hey, I'm Steve from Country Fresh Farm. Ahhh. You want to buy some frozen meat?'" (photo: Jason Merritt)

Top Secret Romance

Nothing helps an ailing relationship more than forced quality time in a witness protection program. Sarah Jessica Parker is considering signing on for some rom com action opposite Hugh Grant, in an untitled Marc Lawrence flick. According to Variety the two actors would play an estranged NYC power couple who are shipped off to Wyoming under protective custody after witnessing a murder. (photo: Jamie McCarthy/WireImage.com)

Tall, Dark and Toothsome

Stephen Moyer's appearance as vampire Bill Compton on 'True Blood' has certainly turned a few heads, but who could have predicted he'd top the list of 'Scariest Bloodsuckers of All Time' on his first Halloween outing? "Just when we were about ready to give up on the tired old blood-sucking genre, this guy swoops in with vampire speed," gushes GetBack.com. "Pale, brooding, sunken-cheeked. Yummy. And he's really nice to his human girlfriend. Exactly the kind of vampire a girl dreams of meeting." Check out the full list to for the 19 vamps who sucked more (or is it less?) than Moyer.
