Gotta Sing, Gotta Vote

Sometimes, nothing's more inspiring than a heart-wrenching ballad or a well-executed modulation. Broadway lovers will be able to hear some of the Great White Way's favorite singers at a one-night-only (this Sunday the 19th) 'Broadway Voices for Change' concert hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick to benefit America Votes, the largest grassroots voter mobilization effort in the country. Mirror, Mirror

Ever have trouble convincing yourself to do the right thing? In a new Rock the Vote PSA Adrian Grenier plays a detective interrogating an unseen suspect, grilling him: "Who's in control?" and "So what are you gonna do about it?" When the suspect is revealed it turns out to be....Adrian Grenier!...newly commited to rocking his vote. (photo: Jeff Vespa/WireImage.com)

Club Wed

The last time Kristin Davis hit the tropics as Charlotte in the 'Sex and the City' movie, things got a little ... messy. Nevertheless, she's optimistic enough to give the beach another shot in 'Couples Retreat,' a comedy written by Jon Favreau. The flick follows four couples (including Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell) as their fun-in-the-sun vacations get sucked into the resort's marriage-counseling program with hilarity, of course, ensuing. Wise Guy

After a couple seasons on the Baltimore streets, not even moving to Beverly Hills can take the bull's eye off 'Wire' star Tristan Wilds' back. "To be invited to all these big Hollywood parties — it was cool to meet everybody, but it always seemed like work. I tend to be a hard target," says the new '90210' actor. "(Tabloids) are always trying to pin something on you. I stay clean so there's nothing they can catch me on." If it sounds like some of his new co-stars — who fought their own press battles in the 90s — have tipped him off to the perils of fame, it's because they have: "Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth told me to keep my feet grounded because you never know — this business can chew you up." Haute Stuff

Smiling wide, with his legs, uh, daintily together, David Walliams is giving "fashion spread" a new connotation. The 'Little Britain USA' star is no stranger to dressing like a lady, but in a photo shoot promoting his new children's book 'The Boy in a Dress,' Walliams takes it to a haute-r level. Talking about his book about a young boy who likes to dress up in frocks, Walliams says: "The truth is that it doesn't really mean you're gay. As anyone who has watched Kilroy, and seen transvestite truckers and soldiers being interviewed next to their long-suffering wives, will know." (photo: Jon Furniss/WireImage.com)

Like Blood in the Water

It's not easy handing over your baby, and for Charlaine Harris, the last thing she wanted to see was a sanitized TV version of her Sookie Stackhouse novels. "I had some misgivings," she says. "But when Alan Ball expressed an interest, I felt I would be much more likely to see something on the screen that reflected the spirit of my work. I knew he wasn't scared to look into dark corners, and I knew from my conversations with him that he understood what I was doing with the books." In other words — he dug the dirt: "The mixture of humor, violence and sex that made the books so hard to sell initially was the very element that attracted Alan. When I was sure of that, I relaxed."
