Nothing But The Truth

Jeremy Piven is starring alongside Elisabeth Moss and Raul Esparza in a revival of David Mamet's 'Speed the Plow' on Broadway. In a video interview for My Broadway, Piven says he believes the play is even more timely now than when it debuted 20 years ago. "You're checking in with your own truth, your own truth within yourself. And that's kind of what these characters are doing. They almost have a truth contest, to see who can speak the truth...the most truthfully," he notes. And speaking truthfully, for himself, Piven says: "I'm incredibly honored to be able to do this show... I sure hope I don't f**k up." (photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/WireImage.com)

The Swede Smell of Success

Getting a whiff of success is different in Sweden than it is in Hollywood according to the man who has been named sexiest Swede not once, but five times. Alexander Skarsgard (who morphs from U.S. Marine sergeant in 'Generation Kill' to Viking vampire in 'True Blood') explains the difference between us and them: "There are no paparazzi in Sweden, so I'm not harassed. It's a socialist country, so you shouldn't think you're special. It's not like L.A., where people drive around in their pimped-out Bentleys. In Sweden you're supposed to drive your Volvo and shop at Ikea." (photo: Michael Buckner/Getty Images)

The Body Politic

Sarah Jessica Parker's attempt to sex up the city of Washington, D.C., has landed its leading ladies. The HBO pilot 'Washingtonienne' follows three 28-year-old women through their erotic and patriotic travails in the nation's capital: Rachel Taylor plays an aspiring speech writer mentored by Bitsie Tulloch, who made internet waves as 'lonelygirl15,' and Amanda Walsh (pictured here) rounds out the trio as a workaholic red-stater. Parker is exec-producing the project, which is based on the semi-autobiographical book by Jessica Cutler. (photo: Frank Micelotta/Getty Images)

As Seen Down Under

Ryan Kwanten has made quite the impression on 'True Blood' fans as Jason Stackhouse — which makes sense because they've seen a lot of him. "I come from Australia, which is really open-minded when it comes to sex and one's body, but having said that, there were a lot of inhibitions to overcome," he says. "But the mere fact that Alan Ball was involved and the classiness for which he writes made me more comfortable. It's never nudity for nudity's sake. It's going to make sense in the script." Yet, even in the best of circumstances, some discomfort is unavoidable: Namely, the parents. "Mum and dad sort of organized a screening party back home," he says. "It's kind of weird to think that they're 10,000 miles away watching me perform sex scenes." (photo: Todd Williamson/WireImage.com)

Making History

In the recent issue of Newsweek, Cynthia Nixon writes about the long line of strong women in her family. Explaining how she decided to come out regarding her relationship with Christine Marinoni, Nixon writes: "When I won an Emmy for 'Sex and the City,' we got phone calls asking about our relationship. I hired a publicist who happened to be a lesbian. She said, 'Why don't we just confirm?' So I did. I was following family tradition. Well-behaved women don't make history." (photo: Andrew H. Star Treatment

After Melissa George's last doctor didn't work out so well on 'In Treatment,' word on the street is that she's found a whole new medical team on 'Grey's Anatomy.' And she's not one to swing by for just a one-episode case of pancreatitis. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the actress is in the final stages of negotiating to play an intern who, naturally, will need to have a love interest of her own. Friend with Benefits

David Schwimmer was already pals with — and a fan of — Matt Lucas and David Walliams when they tapped him to direct the live studio audience segments of 'Little Britain USA.' The former 'Friends' star talked to HBO.com about what he feels he brings to the table: "Being behind the camera is completely different, but what I try to do first and foremost is make sure everyone's having a great time." he explains. Or, as Walliams revealed: "He's naughty, he has loads of great ideas and we're always very open to that." (photo: Joe Corrigan/Getty Images)

It's A Shoe Thing

Kristin Davis says she always had a hard time finding feminine clothing before she slipped into the role, and wardrobe, of Charlotte on 'Sex and the City.' Now the actress is giving back to her curvy fans with a new affordable clothing line for Belk department stores. She was surprised, she admits, to see just how big the line was. "I know! It's unbelievable! It's like how many pairs of shoes did I make? I mean I approved all of them, but when you see it all, you're just wowed. It's totally insane." (photo: Vince Bucci/Getty Images)
