Age Before Beauty

Maybe — maybe — you could catch a glimpse of Carrie Bradshaw at Balducci's buying some 0% Fage (the in-crowd's answer to Dannon). But in flats? We don't think so. Sarah Jessica Parker's footwear, however, is another story. "Often, I'll go to the market and women will say, 'Let me see your shoes.' And then I show them I'm wearing flip-flops. I say, 'I'm old now. I can't run around in heels when I go to the market for my son's yogurt.' " (photo: Jason Kempin/WireImage.com)

Gangsta Wrap

When the final season of 'The Wire' bows this weekend, Felicia "Snoop" Pearson will be encased in her usual attire of hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans. But watch for the actress to be swathed in something more glamorous in the future. "People know I can play a gangster," says Pearson. "Now I want to switch it up a bit, be more feminine." Frame Within a Frame

'The Wire' star Wendell Pierce, who plays Detective Bunk Moreland, is fighting real crime — for one hour at a time, anyway. In an Escher-like anecdote, police detectives told the actor that the wire taps they were running on actual drug dealers went dead during the show's timeslot. "The highest compliment came when a police officer told me on the set, 'They talk about you guys on the real wire,'" Pierce told Reuters.

So, airing round-the-clock episodes could theoretically put an end to all drug trafficking? Pierce has a more sensible expectation for the show: "I hope mainly that no one will see some black kid standing on a corner in some long, white tee and baggy pants and not just go to some immediate two-dimensional stereotype. At least they know that there's some humanity there."

Furry Friends

Samantha Jones may not be a friend of PETA, but Kim Cattrall is. According to E Online, the actress has obtained four white furs she donned in 'Sex and the City: The Movie,' for a scene where she gets sprayed with red paint by animal-rights activists. Cattrall is donating the pelts to PETA, who in turn donates furs to the homeless. "The only people who can be excused for wearing fur are the homeless — to keep warm during the winter," says PETA rep Michael McGraw. (photo: Brian Ach/WireImage.com)
