Bio

Danny Huston (Geoffrey Fieger) has followed in his family's footsteps by cultivating a storied career both in front of and behind the camera as a writer, director and producer. He gave his breakthrough acting performance in the independent film "Ivansxtc," which earned him a nomination for Best Male Performance at the Independent Spirit Awards in 2003.

Huston appears alongside Mel Gibson in Martin Campbell's new thriller "Edge of Darkness," based on the BBC miniseries of the same name, and will soon be seen in Louis Leterrier's take on the classic "Clash of the Titans," as Poseidon, God of the Sea, opposite Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson, and in Sngmoo Lee's "The Warrior's Way," a fantasy-action film also starring Kate Bosworth and Geoffrey Rush.

In 2009, Huston completed principal photography on Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood," playing Richard The Lion Heart to Russell Crowe's Robin Hood and Cate Blanchett's Maid Marian. Huston most recently completed Robert Redford's ensemble film "The Conspirator."

In addition, Huston appeared in Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator," for which the ensemble cast was nominated for a 2004 SAG Award, and in "Birth" opposite Nicole Kidman. In 2006, he received the Golden Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor for "The Constant Gardener." That same year, Huston starred alongside Guy Pearce, Ray Winstone and Emily Watson in "The Proposition."

Huston's other film credits include "21 Grams," "Silver City," Marie Antoinette," "Children of Men," "Fade to Black," "The Number 23," "The Kingdom," "30 Days of Night" and "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People." He also co-starred in HBO's Emmy®-winning miniseries "John Adams." Huston has collaborated numerous times with British director Mike Figgis, in "Leaving Las Vegas," "Time Code" and "Hotel," and with British director Bernard Rose, in "Ivansxtc," "Anna Karenina" and "The Kreutzer Sonata." Last summer, he starred in the blockbuster "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," as villainous army colonel William Stryker.
