Bio

Best known for her distinctive voice, Brenda Vaccaro (Margo Janus) has had a colorful career encompassing Broadway, film, TV and voice work. She made her mark on the film industry in the groundbreaking film "Midnight Cowboy," for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe. She received an Oscar® nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for Jacqueline Susann's "Once is Not Enough." Her other notable film credits include "Boynton Beach Club," "Sonny," "The Mirror Has Two Faces," "Heart of Midnight," "Zorro, The Gay Blade," "Love Affair," "Cookie," "Water," "The First Deadly Sin," "Summer Tree," "Going Home" and "I Love My Wife."

Vaccaro starred in the TV series "Paper Dolls," "Dear Detective" and "Sara," which earned her an Emmy® nomination, and won as Emmy® for "The Shape of Things," as well as receiving nominations for "Honor Thy Father," "Sunshine," "Friends," "The Golden Girls" and "The Street of San Francisco." In addition, she appeared on "Murder, She Wrote," "Columbo," "Touched by an Angel," "The King of Queens," "Nip/Tuck," "Just a Walk in the Park," "Becker," "When Husbands Cheat," "Ally McBeal," "The Trial of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg" and "St. Elsewhere," among others.

Vaccaro's work on Broadway has brought her four Tony Award nominations, for "Cactus Flower," "How Now, Dow Jones," "The Goodbye People" and her Broadway debut in "Everybody Loves Opal." Some of her other key Broadway credits include "The Natural Look," "The Odd Couple" and "Jake's Women."

Vaccaro has contributed her voice to "Charlotte's Web," "Fat Girl," "Johnny Bravo," "Spawn," "The Jetsons" and "Smurfs."
