Finn Wittrock stars as Spencer in the feature, ‘The Submarine Kid,' which he wrote with writing partner, Eric Bilitch, who is also directing the film. Currently, Wittrock appears in the films ‘Winter's Tale,' written and directed by Akiva Goldsmann for Warner Brothers; and Darren Aronofsky's ‘Noah' for Paramount.
Later this year, Wittrock will appear as Mac in the film ‘Unbroken' for Universal, written by The Coen Brothers and directed by Angelina Jolie. Wittrock can also currently be seen recurring in the Showtime series ‘Masters of Sex' and a recent episode of ‘Law and Order: SVU.' Early in his career, Wittrock originated the role of Damon on ABC's ‘All My Children.'
A graduate of The Julliard School, Wittrock made his Broadway debut in 2012 in Mike Nichols' Tony Award-winning ‘Death of a Salesman,' for which he won a Theatre World Award and the Clarence Derwent Award. He followed that with the critically acclaimed Goodman Theater production of ‘Sweet Bird of Youth' as Chance Wayne, opposite Diane Lane, directed by David Cromer, and ‘The Guardsman' at the Kennedy Center directed by Gregory Mosher. His off-Broadway credits include ‘The Illusion' at Signature Theatre Company and ‘The Age of Iron' at Classic Stage Company. Regional credits include ‘The Blue Deep' at the Williamstown Theatre Festival; ‘Romeo and Juliet' at the Shakespeare Theatre Company; ‘Candida' at the Berkshire Theatre Festival; ‘The Laramie Project' with The Mechanicals Theatre Group; and productions of ‘The Matchmaker,' ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream' at A Noise Within Theatre Company. He is a member of The Mechanicals Theatre Group in Los Angeles.
