David M. Thompson (Executive Producer) founded BBC Films, overseeing a slate of films for cinema and television. Past BBC Films productions include the acclaimed "Mrs. Brown," "Billy Elliot," which was nominated for three Academy Awards®, the Oscar®-winning "Iris," "Dirty Pretty Things," "I Capture the Castle," "The Mother," "Sweet Sixteen," "Sylvia," "Mrs. Henderson Presents," "Match Point," "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story" and HBO Films' "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers." BBC Films recent productions include the Cannes prize winner "Red Road," as well as the upcoming "Fish Tank," which Thompson is currently executive producing, "Notes on a Scandal," "Eastern Promises," "The Other Boleyn Girl," "The Duchess" and "Revolutionary Road."
