Synopsis

From the director of the last two "Bourne" films comes this gripping action-thriller featuring "Jason Bourne" himself, Matt Damon, in the role of a rogue military officer determined to unravel a deepening conspiracy in Baghdad at the outset of the Iraq war. Standing in the way of the truth is a cold-blooded Defense Intelligence agent (Greg Kinnear) who will stop at nothing to prevent the truth--that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq--from coming out.

Brendan Gleeson co-stars as a weathered CIA agent who provides Damon with the insight to separate the facts from the lies. Also with Amy Ryan, Khalid Abdalla and Jason Isaacs. Directed by Paul Greengrass; written by Brian Helgeland, inspired by the book "Imperial Life in the Emerald City" by Rajiv Chandrasekaran.
