The second flick based on Jeff Kinney's illustrated children's book series employs the comedic tropes of the first, and adds some heartwarming adolescent moments into the mix. As his older brother Rodrick hits all the right gags--trapping him in a women's locker room, etc.--younger brother Greg, played by the ever endearing (and none-too-tall) Zachary Gordon, tries to stand up for himself with the help of two wimpy friends.
Devon Bostick, Rachael Harris, Robert Capron and Steve Zahn co-star in this fun-filled sequel. Directed by David Bowers; screenplay by Gabe Sachs & Jeff Judah, based on the book by Jeff Kinney.
