Born in Montreal, Bruce graduated from the Dome Theatre Program and made his professional debut playing the role of Joe Bonaparte in Clifford Odets' seminal work, “The Golden Boy,” during the Toronto Summer Theater Festival. Bruce has since appeared in over a hundred film, television, radio, and theatrical productions. In 2011 he made his film directorial debut by directing William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. Bruce also adapted the original text, and played the fabled Dane. “Hamlet” premiered in competition at the 2012 Vancouver International Film Festival.
