Jon Raymond



Jon Raymond (co-writer) is a notable writer whose works have been the basis of several films. Raymond wrote the screenplays for “Old Joy” and “Wendy and Lucy,” based on short stories from his 2008 collection, “Livability,” which won the Oregon Book Awards’ Ken Kesey Award for Fiction. “Old Joy” premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and the 2006 Rotterdam International Film Festival. “Wendy and Lucy” appeared on more than 60 critics’ “Best of” lists. Raymond is also the writer of “Meek’s Cutoff,” which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and will be released theatrically in April, as well as the author of the novels “The Half-Life” (Bloomsbury, 2004), a Publisher’s Weekly Best Book of the Year, and “Rain Dragon” (Bloomsbury, 2012).
