BIO: Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Doug quickly realized that he had an affinity for entertainment. After being put out of a local high school rap group because his rhymes were more humorous that serious, a friend suggested he give stand-up comedy a try. So in January 1990, Doug stepped on stage at a comedy club for the first time and found his calling. After graduating from Alabama State University in January of 1995 he decided to move to Los Angeles where he landed his first role in The Nutty Professor, starring Eddie Murphy only months after his arrival. From there, his off-beat style of stand-up comedy that surrounds his relationships with women and his life has made him a favorite on "BET's (Black Entertainment Television) Comic View". In August of 1999, Doug received a development deal with ATG (Artist Television Group) based on his one-man show "Domestic Violator" at the HBO Workspace. Doug has also appeared on "Vibe", "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show", NBC's "Friday Night, Late Night" and in 2000 fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing on "It's Showtime at the Apollo". Considered one of Hollywood's bright young hopefuls, Doug can also be seen every Thursday night as "Gus The Cabbie" and many other characters on BET's new sketch show "The Way We Do It."
