Executive Producer

Vic Kaplan began his career in the early seventies in New York at ABC Television.
He supervised shots such as the late night "Dick Cavett Show" and the daytime serial "One Life To Live." After moving to Los Angeles he continued working for ABC where
he managed production for variety specials such as "The Emmy's" and "In Concert."
Vic left ABC in 1976 to sign with Dick Clark Productions as an associative producer, working on variety and music specials such as "The American Music Awards" and
"American Bandstand's 25th Anniversary Show."
In 1970, Vic joined the newly formed Moffitt Lee Productions where he collaborated in the production of ABC's late night series "Friday's" and HBO's "Not Necessarily the News," and "Comic Relief." As an independent producer in the 1980's he produced comedy specials for HBO with Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, George Carlin and Dennis Miller. During this time he also produced the Ace Award-winning "It's Garry Shandling's Show" for Showtime.
During the 90's Vic was Executive Producer for FOX TV's "Roc" starring Charles S. Dutton. One of the highlights of the series was that it was broadcast live for one season. He then returned to ABC to Executive Produce "Ellen" for three years, which earned the
prestigious Peabody Award for the production of the controversial "Puppy Episode" in 1997.
In 1990 Vic joined NBC studios and has served as an Executive Producer and
Consultant for a variety of pilots including "Three Sisters," "Tucker," "Just Married," "Count Me In," "Leap of Faith," and "Greg Giraldo."
Vic just finished Executive Producing a midseason show for NBC called "The Jake
Effect" starring Jason Bateman, Greg Grumberg and Nikki Cox. He Executive Produced the "Untitled Susan Dickes/Nicole Sullivan" Project for Touchstone/CBS. Vic currently is supervising two pilots at the WB Network and one pilot at NBC. He will also serve as Executive Producer of Richard Jeni's HBO Comedy Hour.
