Mr. Hagerty is a native of Chicago and a graduate of the University of Illinois.

He was an actor and director at Chicago's Second City. His stage credits include appearances at Yale Rep and the Laguna Playhouse. He has appeared in over 25 films. On television, he played Mr. Treeger, the super on "Friends," and has been seen on many other hit shows including " Seinfeld," "ER" and "Desperate Housewives."

Hagerty's recent appearances on HBO include: "Curb your Enthusiasm," "Unscripted," and "Deadwood."
