Born in Jersey City, N.J., Ms. Hawthorne received her BA in musical theatre from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. Since then she has worked and lived in Atlanta, NYC, Vancouver and now LA. She has enjoyed acting in regional theatre, film, television and voice-over. Some notable credits include the films: "The Chronicles of Riddick," "See Spot Run," "Along Came a Spider" and "3000 Miles to Graceland."
In television, Ms. Hawthorne recently appeared on ABC's "Commander in Chief." Other recent television credits include the pilot, "Three Moons Over Milford," "The L Word," "Davinci's Inquest," "Jeremiah," as well as the "Mow's," "10.5" and "Murder at the Presidio."
On Broadway, Kim's musical theatre degree payed off when she was hired to understudy and portray the lead role of Queen in the Cy Coleman musical, "The Life."
When not acting, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Curt, and their 15-month-old-son, Julian.
