 Jon Macks
K Street consulting producer Jon Macks was one of Washington DC's top political strategists and media consultants before switching careers in 1992 to become a comedy writer for Jay Leno at the Tonight Show.
Since that time, he was written on seven Academy Award Shows for Billy Crystal, Steve Martin and Whoopi Goldberg, nine Emmy Award Shows and on shows as diverse as Comic Relief, the Honeymooners 50th Anniversary Show, the World Stunt Awards and Hollywood Squares.
In addition to his work on K Street and the Tonight Show, Macks is a speechwriter for over a dozen elected officials, CEO's and sports figures and is the author of four books for Simon and Schuster; the latest book released in September 2003 is "How to Be Funny: The One and Only Practical Guide for Every Occasion, Situation and Disaster."
