 Henry Bean
Henry Bean wrote and directed the acclaimed film "The Believer," which garnered
critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at the 2001
Sundance Film Festival. Among his other feature-film writing credits are "Venus
Rising," "Deep Cover" (starring Laurence Fishburne), "Internal Affairs" (starring
Richard Gere), "Golden Eighties," "Heartaches," "Running Brave" and "1988: The
Remake." He has also written the upcoming films "Risk Addiction," directed by Lee
Tamahori, and "Man on Fire," directed by Tony Scott.
Bean is also the author of the acclaimed novel "False Match" and the nonfiction
book "The Believer: Confronting Jewish Self-Hatred."
