WILLIAM A. WHITEFORD and SUSAN HANNAH HADARY

Combining her experience of working with physically challenged individuals and their shared excitement for "spirit stories," the vision for their long-term collaboration emerged. Hadary used her talents as a producer and writer to obtain funding and connect with the necessary institutions, while Whiteford contributed his talents of producing, directing, cinematography and editing. Working together, they were able to make their dream a reality.

The creative partnership of Whiteford and Hadary began in 1980. Their first documentary, "Dominick and Margaret," followed the inspirational lives of two elderly individuals who maintained an independent lifestyle, despite multiple serious medical conditions.

In 1984, Hadary obtained funding to make a series of documentaries following the lives of children with physical disabilities. Their vision was to have the audience experience each child as an individual, not as a person with physical limitations.

Their collaboration continues to bring many ordinary people with exceptional life circumstances to the screen. For Whiteford and Hadary, it is a driving passion to make these unique films and share the stories of these special people with the world.
