From Chris Lilley -- creator, writer and star of 'Summer Heights High,' 'Angry Boys' and 'Ja'mie: Private School Girl' -- comes the continuing story of Jonah Takalua, a rebellious Tongan teen who just can't help himself when it comes to stirring up trouble.
First introduced in 'Summer Heights High,' which originally aired on HBO in 2008, Jonah ended that season being expelled midway through Year 8. 'Jonah From Tonga' picks up four months later, with Jonah banished by his father to the island of Tongapatu and living with his extended family -- an arrangement that isn't working out well for anyone ("Tonga's sh*t -- there's nothing to do," he complains). When his uncle has had enough and sends him back to Sydney, Jonah finds himself enrolled at Holy Cross, a Catholic high school, with new friends (his "Fobba-liscious" Pacific Islander crew), new foes (the "Rangas," led by Year 12 school captain, Graydon) and new teachers he drives to the brink of insanity. Through it all, Jonah tries to leave his naughty ways behind and be a "good boy," but with Jonah, things never quite go as planned.
