Sophie arrives at her session upset because shes been trying to talk to her mother all week and has been unable to say anything to her. Also her fathers suddenly been calling every day, and she hasnt called him back. Paul urges her to go easy on herself. Shes taking on two very difficult changes at once: trying to talk to her mother and avoiding her father. He points out these two things could lead to two scary things: her telling her mother about her fathers secrets and telling her father shes angry. Paul reminds her of how she told him that her father left his second wife because she didnt want Sophie to live with them  but only after two more years. Sophie breaks down, admitting she feels guilty for her parents' problems but Paul urges her to stop blaming herself. She finally lets out some of her anger towards her father and when her mother picks her up at the end of their session, Sophie asks a surprised and pleased Olivia if they can stop for coffee instead of going shopping.
