HBO Screensavers Instructions
How to Download/Install for Windows
Click on the "Download" link back on the main page, and then choose "Open" to open the zip file. Double-click the HBO_Screensaver installer file. The screensaver will install automatically and you will be taken to your "Display Preferences" control panel to see a preview.
Uninstalling Windows Screen Savers
The screen savers may be removed though the Windows "Add/Remove Programs" control panel:
- Click the Start button
- Select "Settings... Control Panel... Add/Remove Programs"
- Locate and select the HBO Screensaver from the list
- Click "Remove"
To manually uninstall, open Windows Explorer and navigate to either the "Windows" or "WinNT" directory, depending on your operating system. Look for these files:
- HBO_Screensaver.dat (NT systems only)
- HBO_Screensaver.dll
- HBO_Screensaver.exe
- HBO_Screensaver.scr
Deleting these files will remove the screen saver.
How to Download/Install for Mac OSX(10.2 or higher)
Click on the "download" link back on the main page, and then choose "open" to open the .zip file. Double-click the HBO_Screensaver installer file. The screensaver will install automatically and you will be taken to your Display preferences control panel to see a preview.
* Known Bug - You cannot set a screensaver image using,"SAVE AS WALLPAPER" on 10.3 while in preview mode.
Uninstalling Macintosh Screen Savers
Open your "System Preferences" and make sure the screensaver you are deleting in not the one that is currently active; select another to inactivate it. Open your Macintosh Hard Drive on your Desktop.
- Click the icon above the directory listing titled "Home".
- Navigate down the directory tree to the "Screen Savers" directory, located in "/Library/Screen Savers".
- Delete the folder named "home_box_office.saver
- Click on the "Trash" desktop bar, then click "Empty Trash"
- Open your "System Preferences" and make sure the screensaver does not appear as an available screen saver.
