Game of Thrones Nominated for 19 Emmys

'Game of Thrones' received 19 Emmy nominations, the most of any series. The series was tapped in the categories of drama series, writing and directing. In the supporting actor categories, both Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey received nods for their respective roles as Tyrion Lannister and Cersei Lannister. Diana Rigg earned a nomination for her guest role as Olenna Tyrell. Other nominations came in the categories of art direction, casting, cinematography, costumes, hairstyling, makeup, prosthetic makeup, music composition, sound editing, sound mixing, special and visual effects, stunt coordination, as well as interactive program for the premiere on Facebook Live and Instagram.

In total, HBO received 99 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most of any network for the 14th consecutive year.
