"Until that surgery, she was so weak she could not walk."
Submitted by: Janice, Allentown
My sister Judy Marblewas born a blue baby in 1941. We lived in upstate N.Y at the time. She was operated on at Johns Hopkins and the surgery was performed by Drs. Blalock and Taussig. Until that surgery, she was so weak she could not walk. She was so cold all the time and so very thin. After the surgery, my mother saw pink color in her lips for the first time and she started to walk at age seven. She lived to be fourteen. She died from a blood clot in her brain in 1955.
