Joseph Sargent (director) directed the HBO original movies "A Lesson Before Dying" and "Miss Evers' Boys," both of which won the Emmy® for TV movie. He received Emmys® for directing "Miss Rose White," "Caroline," "Love Is Never Silent" and "The Marcus-Nelson Murders." Among his other credits are "The Incident" (Emmy® for drama/comedy special), "Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment," "The Wall," "Mandela and de Klerk," "The Streets of Laredo" and "My Antonia."
