Mary McDonnell (Vivian Schulte) received Oscar® and Golden Globe® nominations
for her performances in Kevin Costner's "Dances With Wolves" and John Sayles'
"Passion Fish." She has also starred in "Donnie Darko," "Grand Canyon," "Mumford,"
"Sneakers," "Blue Chips," "Independence Day," and "Matewan." She earned an Emmy®
nomination for her recurring guest role on the television series "ER," and recently starred
in the miniseries "Battlestar Galactica." McDonnell began her career in the theatre, and
her numerous stage credits include the title role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway
play "The Heidi Chronicles," and an off-Broadway run in Emily Mann's Vietnam
docudrama "Still Life," for which she won an Obie award.
