film "The Crying Game." She then went on to produce Terence Davies' "The Neon
Bible," which starred Gena Rowlands and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival; Angela
Pope's "Hollow Reed," starring Joely Richardson, Ian Hart and Martin Donovan; Mark
Herman's "Little Voice," Golden Globe®- winner and Academy Award nominee; and
Herman's "Purely Belter," which debuted at the Director's Fortnight at Cannes. Karlsen's
production company, Number 9 Films, is based in London.
