Tom Hooper recently won an Emmy® Award for directing Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons in "Elizabeth I." The HBO/Channel 4 miniseries won a total of nine Emmy® Awards and three Golden Globes. He directed Hilary Swank and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the BAFTA-nominated film "Red Dust" and was nominated for an Emmy® for "Prime Suspect 6: The Last Witness." The director's other credits include the Broadcast Press Guild Award-winner "Daniel Deronda," plus "Love in a Cold Climate," "Cold Feet" and "Painted Faces." Hooper will soon direct the HBO miniseries "John Adams" based on David McCullough's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The seven-hour miniseries is executive produced by Tom Hanks and stars Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney.
