Peter Morgan's original screenplay for the acclaimed feature film "The Queen," starring Helen Mirren, won a Golden Globe, NY Film Critics Circle Award, and LA Film Critics Association Award, as well as honors from the British Independent Film Awards and the Venice Film Festival. He has also received many accolades for his script for the current release "The Last King of Scotland," starring Forest Whitaker. In 2003 he wrote "The Deal" for Stephen Frears, which won the BAFTA Award for best single drama; the film dramatizes the alleged secret agreement between British politicians Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. His first play, "Frost/Nixon," recently wrapped a successful run in London and will open on Broadway this spring. Morgan's upcoming projects include the film adaptation of the novel "The Other Boleyn Girl," which stars Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson and Eric Bana, and the film version of his "Frost/Nixon" play, which will be directed by Ron Howard.
