Combining innate acting ability and boyish charm, Mark Webber
is quickly ascending the ladder as one of Hollywood's most
intriguing young talents. Currenlty shooting Woody Allen's
upcoming comedy opposite Debra Messing, Tea Leoni and Treat
Williams, this busy actor will next be seen as the lead in
the Untitled Todd Solondz ("Welcome to the Dollhouse,"
"Happiness") Project for Fine Line and opposite Al Pacino
and kim Basinger in Jon Robin Baitz's ("Substance of Fire")
independent feature "People I Know".
Most recently seen starring in the hit Paramount feature
"Snow Day" opposite Chevy Chase, Webber garnered
rave revies starring in both the sold-out London and New York
stage productions of David Mamet's American Buffalo opposite
William H. Macy and Philip Baker Hall. Webber portrayed the
role of "Bobby" at the renowned Atlantic Theater
Company in New York. Production has also recently wrapped
on "The Animal Factory" directed by Steve Buscemi
as well as "Chelsea Walls" directed by Ethan Hawke.
Webber also appeared in the Fox feature "Drive Me Crazy"
as well as the Fox Searchlight film "White Boys"
directed by Sundance Film Festival award winner marc Levin.
His additional credits include the independent films "Edge
City" (which won the Best Picture Award at the Hampton
film Festival) and "Jesus' Son."
A native of Minneapolis, Webber grew up in Philadelphia where
he attended the High School for the Performing Arts. Raised
by a struggling single mother, Webber found acting to be an
escape from reality. He credits his mother, now a crusader
for the homeless, to have instilled in him the hard work and
discipline it takes to be a successful actor.
Currently residing in New York City, Webber continues organizing
and attending rallies and protests with his mother on behalf
of the homeless despite his busy acting schedule.
