 Joanne Woodward (Francine Whiting) has served as artistic director of the Westport Country Playhouse since 2000. She has earned Oscar® nominations for "Mr. & Mrs. Bridge," "Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams" (BAFTA Award winner) and "Rachel, Rachel," and won an Academy Award® for "The Three Faces of Eve." Woodward received Emmy® nominations for "Breathing Lessons," "Blind Spot" and "Crisis at Central High," and won Emmys® for "Do You Remember Love" and "See How She Runs." Her stage credits include "Arsenic and Old Lace," "The Glass Menagerie," "Love Letters," "Ghosts," "Sweet Bird of Youth" and "Hay Fever." She has directed theater productions of "Velvet Elvis," "The Depot," "La Ronde," "Golden Boy," "Rocket to the Moon," "Waiting for Lefty," "The Big Knife," "The Constant Wife," "Three Days of Rain," "Candida" and "The Seagull."
