Cary Brokaw (executive producer) is president and CEO of Avenue Entertainment Group, whose Avenue Pictures produced the 1994 Oscar®-winning film "Restoration," as well as Robert Altman's "Short Cuts," which won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature.
In addition to "The Player," which received five Academy Award® nominations, including Best Picture, Brokaw and Avenue have produced such features as "The Object of Beauty," "Drugstore Cowboy," "After Dark, My Sweet" and "Pascali's Island."
Their additional film credits include "Voices from a Locked Room," "Finding Graceland" and "Letters from a Wayward Son," He has executive produced such TV movies as HBO Films' "Wit" (Emmy® winner for Outstanding Made for Television Movie), "The Almost Perfect Bank Robbery," HBO's "Path to Paradise: The Untold Story of the World Trade Center Bombing," "See Jane Run," "Amelia Earhart: The Final Flight," HBO Films' "Path to War," directed by John Frankenheimer, and starring Michael Gambon, Alec Baldwin and Donald Sutherland, and "Normal," directed by Jane Anderson and starring Jessica Lange and Tom Wilkinson. Brokaw recently produced "Mindhunters," directed by Renny Harlin and starring LL Cool J, Kathryn Morris, Val Kilmer and Christian Slater, for Dimension Films/Intermedia Films.
