Producer
Matthew Galkin is the Producer of HBO's Family Bonds. Recently, Galkin served as Co-Producer on John Landis's Slasher for IFC in 2003. In the fall of 2002, he served as Associate Producer on The Blues: Five Riffs, which screened at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. The film is a feature length compilation, culled from the PBS series The Blues, for Director and Executive Producer Martin Scorsese. For Stick Figure Productions, he is also currently producing a feature length documentary film on the rock group Pixies.
Galkin started his career by winning top honors at the 1995 Hamptons International Film Festival for his short student film Man Down. Upon graduating, he directed and shot 3AM, a weekly documentary show for HBO.com. He has also directed documentary segments for HBO's live music show Reverb, as well as numerous commercials and industrial films.
For Stick Figure, Galkin is currently adapting Bruno Fischer's short story We Are All Dead into a feature film, as well as developing numerous other fiction and non-fiction projects.
Matthew Galkin was born in Providence, Rhode Island, raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and is a graduate of New York University.
