Shatterproof is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the devastation the disease of addiction causes families. The organization works to end stigma and foster a community of support for afflicted families. Shatterproof provides families with evidence-based resources to support prevention, treatment and recovery and advocates for changes in policy at the federal and state level.
Live4Lali raises awareness of substance use issues among individuals, families and communities to prevent use among youth and minimize the overall health, legal, emotional and social harms among individuals and families impacted by substance use. Taking a harm reduction approach, Live4Lali trains families and first responders how to use Narcan (Naloxone).
Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing was founded to help provide sources of help, compassion and understanding for families or individuals who have lost loved a one due to substance abuse or addiction. Meetings for family members are held throughout the nation.

The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids offers a free parent helpline 1-855-DRUGFREE (1-855-378-4373) that is staffed by counselors who can help guide families to local treatment options. The Partnership offers a free e-book on Medication-Assisted Treatment options.
