Created by Paula Zwillinger, this group supports those who are in the military, both deployed and stateside, helps educate parents of those in the military, and offers education scholarships in the memory of our Fallen Heroes to help those how are recently discharged from the service.
TAPS is the national organization providing care for the families of America's fallen servicemen and women. TAPS provides peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, seminars, case work assistance, and 24/7 crisis intervention care for all who have been affected by a death in the Armed Forces. Services are provided free of charge. Since its founding by surviving military families in 1994, TAPS has helped more than 25,000 family members who've lost loved ones serving in the military.
This nonprofit organization represents families of all ranks and services, prepares spouses, children, and parents to better deal with the unique challenges of military life. The Association protects benefits vital to all families, including those of the deployed, wounded, and fallen.
Founded in June 2004, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) is a nonprofit, non-partisan veterans' education and advocacy organization. The first and largest Iraq and Afghanistan veterans group in America, IAVA has thousands of active member veterans and more than 125,000 grassroots supporters nationwide. IAVA addresses the unique issues facing the 1.7 million veterans that have deployed since 2001. IAVA's mission is to improve the lives of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families.
