Emergency is an independent nonprofit organization that provides medical and surgical care, rehabilitation and relief efforts for the victims of wars, land mines and poverty around the world. Since 1994, over 5,500,000 people in 16 countries have received free, high quality health care by Emergency. The group runs the Salam Center for Cardiac Surgery  featured in the film OPEN HEART.

Team Heart

This volunteer organization partners with the Rwanda Heart Foundation, the Ministry of Health and the citizens of Rwanda to assist Rwanda in building a program in cardiac surgery.
