HBO Documentaries Earn 19 Emmy Nominations

HBO Documentary Films received 19 nominations, including three of the five nominations for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, as this year's Primetime Emmy Award nominees were announced. 'Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God' and 'Ethel' earned five apiece. 'Crossfire Hurricane' garnered four, 'Manhunt: The Inside Story of the Hunt for Bin Laden' received two, and 'An Apology to Elephants' got one. The HBO Family documentary programs 'The Weight of the Nation for Kids: Quiz Ed!' and 'A YoungArts Masterclass' were each nominated for Outstanding Children's Program.

HBO received 108 total nominations, the most of any network for the 13th year in a row. The 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 22 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
