HBO Doc Wins for Mea Maxima Culpa, Manhunt; HBO Picks Up 27 in All

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the winners of the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards this evening. HBO received 7 Emmys tonight, bringing the total number of wins to 27, more than any other network. Cinemax received 1 win at last weeks Creative Arts ceremony, held on September 15. This is the twelfth consecutive year HBO has received the most wins out of any network. The documentary wins were:

Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking
Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God  Alex Gibney, Alexandra Johnes, Todd Wider, Jedd Wider, Producers; Sheila Nevins, Executive Producer; Sara Bernstein, Supervising Producer

Outstanding Picture Editing for Nonfiction Programming
Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God  Sloane Klevin, Editor

Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction
Programming

Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special

Outstanding Voice-Over Performance
