UNFORGETTABLE FIRE: Pictures Drawn by Atomic Bomb Survivors

Exhibited here are a selection of "Unforgettable Fire" drawings and paintings featured in the HBO Documentary Film, WHITE LIGHT BLACK RAIN.

The drawings were solicited by NHK, the Japanese Public Television Network, in 1975 and 1995 for the 30th and the 50th anniversary of the bombings to be shown on TV and at the peace museums in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There are more than 3,000 artworks in the collection, all by survivors who were asked to put their memories into art.

To see additional drawings, visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
