Hanley Denning: A Safe Passage profiles Hanley Denning, founder of the nonprofit organization Camino Seguro (Safe Passage), and her steadfast commitment to the intellectual development and emotional welfare of the children of the Guatemala City Garbage Dump. In January of 2007, only four days before the film Recycled Life received an Oscar® nomination, Hanley's life was tragically ended in a car accident. Her mission lives on through her organization that continues to provide tuition, food, uniforms and education to more than 1,500 children and their parents.
