Intersex Society of North America (ISNA)
The Intersex Society of North America (ISNA) is devoted to systemic change to end shame, secrecy, and unwanted genital surgeries for people born with an anatomy that someone decided is not standard for male or female. ISNA focuses their resources strategically on educating medical professionals as well as general society about issues faced by people with intersex conditions. Website includes extensive information and resources.

Gender Education and Advocacy (GEA) Gender Education and Advocacy is a national organization focused on the needs, issues and concerns of gender variant people in human society. We seek to educate and advocate, not only for ourselves and others like us, but for all human beings who suffer from gender-based oppression in all of its many forms.

Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States
SIECUS--the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States--has served as the national voice for sexuality education, sexual health, and sexual rights for over 40 years. SIECUS affirms that sexuality is a fundamental part of being human, one that is worthy of dignity and respect. We advocate for the right of all people to accurate information, comprehensive education about sexuality, and sexual health services. SIECUS works to create a world that ensures social justice and sexual rights.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Family Pride Coalition (FPC)
The Family Pride Coalition has for 25 years been the only national non-profit organization solely dedicated to equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) parents and their families. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., FPC supports nearly 200 membership-based LGBT parenting groups nationwide with a base of 35,000 supporters.

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

TransParentcy
TransParentcy's mission is to support the Transgender Parent, and their advocates (lawyers, mental health professionals, friends, family) by providing information and resources to diffuse and/or disspell the myths about any adverse impact being transgendered/transsexual might have on one's children.

Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN)
GLSEN, or the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, now in its 10th year, is the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for ALL students. Established nationally in 1995, GLSEN envisions a world in which every child learns to respect and accept all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. For more information on GLSEN's educator resources, public policy agenda, student organizing programs, research, public education or development initiatives.

National Gay & Lesbian Task Force
Founded in 1973, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Foundation (the Task Force) was the first national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization and remains the movement's leading voice for freedom, justice and equality. We work to build the grassroots political strength of our community by training state and local activists and leaders, working to strengthen the infrastructure of state and local allies, and organizing broad-based campaigns to build public support for complete equality for LGBT people.

National Coalition for Lesbian Rights (NCLR)
NCLR is a national legal resource center with a primary commitment to advancing the rights and safety of lesbians and their families through a program of litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education. In addition, NCLR provides representation and resources to gay men, and bisexual and transgender individuals on key issues that also significantly advance lesbian rights.

National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC)
The National Youth Advocacy Coalition is a social justice organization that advocates for and with young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) in an effort to end discrimination against these youth and to ensure their physical and emotional well being.

The National Association of LGBT Community Centers
The National Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Centers exists to support and enhance lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community centers. Centers are engines of community organizing and liberation, and are crucial to the health and strength of LGBT communities. To assist community centers in building a movement that honors and promotes full human rights and dignity for all LGBT people and that meets the social, cultural, health and political advocacy needs of LGBT people, the Association works to build capacity, strengthen linkages, and advocate empowerment, self-reliance, inclusion, and diversity among every community center in our national coalition.

Lambda Legal
Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.

Foster Care Project
The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) and Lambda Legal have launched an historic partnership to fundamentally change the way lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and adults are treated in the nation's foster care system.

FTM International
FTM International is the largest, longest-running organization serving the Female-to-Male community. FTMI builds and strengthens FTM lives.

Transsexual Road Map
Transsexual Road Map is a practical guide to transitioning for male-to-female transsexuals. It includes information on how to set a timetable, set a budget, and prepare physically and mentally for life as a woman. It also features an extensive section on transition for people in their teens and twenties.

The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission
The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) is the only human rights organization solely devoted to improving the rights of people around the world who are targeted for imprisonment, abuse or murder because of their sexuality, gender identity or HIV status. IGLHRC addresses human rights violations by partnering with and supporting activists on the ground in countries around the world, by monitoring and documenting abuses, by engaging offending governments, and by educating international human rights officials. As part of an overall strategy to build the strength and sophistication of international LGBT movements, IGLHRC has established an annual Transgender and Intersex Training Institute in Latin America and continues to build capacity to meet the needs of trans and intersex communities. A US-based non-profit, non-governmental organization, IGLHRC is based in New York, with offices in San Francisco and Buenos Aires.
