SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION SAMHSA's mission is to build resilience and facilitate recovery for people with or at risk for substance abuse and mental illness.

NATIONAL CLEARINGHOUSE FOR ALCOHOL AND DRUG INFORMATION (NCADI)
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI) is the Nation's one-stop resource for information about substance abuse prevention and addiction treatment. Includes a list of centers in the The RADAR Network (sponsored by SAMHSA's NCADI) which is the largest substance abuse prevention and treatment network of its kind. THE ADDICTION RECOVERY GUIDE
The Addiction Recovery Guide assists individuals struggling with drug addiction and alcoholism find help that best suits their needs. From evaluation to residential treatment, they have selected a range of programs and resources. To interact with others in recovery and to share your success story, there is also an online message board.

DRUGHELP
DrugHelp is a private, non-profit information service of the American Council for Drug Education (ACDE), that provides information on specific drugs and treatment options, and referrals to public and private treatment programs, self-help groups, family support groups and crisis centers throughout the United States.

THE ANTI-DRUG

CHILDREN OF ALCOHOLICS FOUNDATION
The Children of Alcoholics Foundation was established in 1982 to help children and adults from addicted families. COAF's mission is to help children of all ages from alcoholic and substance abusing families reach their full potential by breaking the cycle of parental substance abuse and reducing the pain and problems that result from parental addiction. To realize this goal, COAF develops curriculum and other educational materials, writes reports, provides information about parental substance abuse for the general public, trains professionals, and promotes research.

ACDE
The American Council for Drug Education is a substance abuse prevention and education agency that develops programs and materials based on the most current scientific research on drug use and its impact on society.

JOIN TOGETHER
Join Together, founded in 1991, supports community-based efforts to reduce, prevent, and treat substance abuse across the nation.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS
Narcotics Anonymous is an international, community-based association of recovering drug addicts with more than 31,000 weekly meetings in over 100 countries worldwide.

OXFORD HOUSE
Oxford House is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home.

THE LEGAL ACTION CENTER
The Legal Action Center is the only non-profit law and policy organization in the United States whose sole mission is to fight discrimination against people with histories of addiction, HIV/AIDS, or criminal records, and to advocate for sound public policies in these areas. The Legal Action Center is committed to helping people reclaim their lives, maintain their dignity, and participate fully in society as productive, responsible citizens.

THE NATIONAL CENTER ON SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND CHILD WELFARE
The National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW) is an initiative of the Department of Health and Human Services. The mission of the NCSACW is to improve systems and practice for families with substance use disorders who are involved in the child welfare and family judicial systems by assisting local, State and tribal agencies.

FACES & VOICES OF RECOVERY
For too long those most affected by the disease of addiction have been absent from the public policy debate. Faces & Voices of Recovery is a national campaign of individuals and organizations joining together with a united voice to advocate for public action to deliver the power, possibility and proof of recovery.
